Vaishali is one of the busiest and well developed localities of Ghaziabad due to its proximity with Delhi and Noida. The origin of Vaishali dates back to 1976 when it was established as an integral part of the Sapta Sindu or 7 rivers that lie on the upper plains of the Ganges. The area has undergone a vast change due to the large constructions that have taken place in the recent past, keeping in mind the Commonwealth Games 2010 and the new Metro line. Vaishali has been largely developed by the GDA (Ghaziabad Development Authority), the area has changed immensely from what it was a decade ago and is quickly turning out to be a hub of activity.
It is the connecting point from Delhi to Ghaziabad for commuters travelling by the Metro. The Vaishali metro station was inaugurated last year and has been one of the busiest lines ever since. The area has seen a vast growth in the number of people residing there, to cater to the growing population there have been many new flats/building constructed by GDA as well as many private builders. You can find a lot of houses on rent and for sale in all the different sectors of Vaishali.
Vaishali is a pretty stable market for property, it has shown a 12% appreciation in the price per square foot last year in comparison with 2010. The price may vary though in each area depending upon the type of house or flat that you choose, you can find simple non furnished, semi furnished or fully furnished accommodation. There are a lot of paying guest accommodations available too that are suitable for students or working professionals who are in the city without their families. The rent ranges from 4500 – 20,000 INR for a 1BHK – 3BHK apartment/house. A 1BHK house for sale would cost you between 25 – 40 lakhs, 2BHK for 35 – 60 lakhs and 3BHK for 60 – 90 lakhs.
Vaishali Sec 5 is a fast growing hangout of the young and old alike; there are many shopping malls like the Shopprix Mall and Mahagun Mall in its neighbouring sector 3. Ansal Plaza Mall is yet another very popular mall located opposite Dabur Chowk on Vaishali. Movie buffs can watch the latest movies at any one of the multiplexes located in these malls. There are a lot of good restaurants and hangouts in these malls where you can not only enjoy your food but also enjoy a wonderful fully air conditioned atmosphere especially in the summer months of April to July where the temperature soars to a scorching 40C. The rains in the months of mid of July to September offer a big relief from the warm summers. Winters are quite chilly especially during the end of the year till the beginning of the New Year – Mid of December to end of January. Winters begin to set in by the beginning of October and stay till the end of March. The most favourable time to take a trip to Vaishali is during the winter as the temperature is favourably low and makes it an awesome experience.
